I think I have had fibromyalgia for more than 3 years. But, I have yet to be "officially" diagnosed. I hope that happens when I see a Rhumetologist in mid-June. My GP has been sending me to specialists for each component -- I can't tell you have many bone scans I have had -- the most recent being a neurologist for "headaches". I have finally gotten disgusted and struck out on my own to find a Dr. that can help me or at least confirm this is what I have.
Like most people, I have better days and really bad days. Today is a "bad" day. When I am very stressed, I can be assured of a bad day. Meditation helps some. Aleve helps some. I've learned to live with the pain and also that creepy/crawly feeling in the muscles and tissues.
For a long time, I don't think my husband believed me. But after this winter, I think he is finally convinced.
I am retired. I loosely describe myself now as an artist, as I paint. I also love to read and love to cook. And I love animals-- Just about anything with fur. I enjoy feeding the wild birds.
