New here.
Hi there, all. My name is Carolyn. I'm 24 years old and from Kansas - US.
Well, what to say.... Well, I have Fibromyalgia, obviously, haha. I was diagnosed when I was around 20 years old and my Rheumotogist said I'd likely had it since my early to mid teens, as that's when the symptoms started. Which he said was slightly rare or unheard of mostly, but something that has happened, just not often in that young of an age range. I also have symptoms of CFS, he said I likely had it but he wasn't going to bother to give me an official diagnosis of it, as they often go together and both are treated by symptoms.
I also have multiple other things, such as HS (a rare skin/gland condition), migraines, multiple stomach conditions, (unofficial dx of Meniere's disease) and so on and on. I also have mental conditions: Major Depressive Disorder, Agoraphobia, Anxiety, PTSD, etc. I am on disability and have been about 3 years. I see a Rheumatologist and Pain management / rehabilitation specialist. EEEk, oh wow, I hope I'm not going to overwhelm anyone, this isn't looking like a very pretty intro.
I also have borderline low thryroid, sluggish metabolism and I'm over wight and attempting to lose, but it's limited as diet does little and working out is extremely painful as well as limited. I'm about 5'9' and 210 lbs
I would also like to make friends and help and support in whatever way I can; I know how hard coping in life can be when you're struggling and in pain. I understand, I'm here as a friend or just and ear or shoulder. Ok, maybe I should stop blabbing on now. I hope to see you all around.

I feel for ya...
I'm with ya Carolyn. I am 23 yrs old and very overweight. I got diagnosed with FM when I really kicked into gear to lose weight. I was hurting so bad after a day at the gym I was in tears.
Now that I am working on managing the fibro I will once again begin my quest to lose the extra baggage.
Have you tried yoga? It seems to really help me...
Best,
Amanda
