patch for FM pain?

side effects
I am now back on the fentanyl patch, though at a much lower dose just simply because my new dr is an idiot and refuses to give me an appropriate dosage. I haven't noticed any bad side effects, at least not like the awful ones from some of the other drugs like constipation, weight gain and just plain stupidity levels. I love it, just require a higher dosage than what I a presently being prescribed. I'm sure if you google it, you can read all of them on any meds site but I don't have any.

Patch works but is Expensive!
I have also used the Fentanyl patch and it worked great. This med is 75 times stronger than morphine and is used for chronic, widespread pain. The only thing is that the cost averages about $500+ and even with insurance my co-pay was $242! (And that is only for 30 days!) After filling the med only 4 times, I maxed out my ins. coverage for meds. If you can get it, can afford it or have insurance for pain, it is literally the best for FM pain relief.
Just my 2 cents...be happy and pain free!

Re: patch for FM pain?
I’ve had fibromyalgia for some time now and for the pain, I use tramadol 50 to 100mg plus acetaminophen every 8 hours. I have been using a fentanyl patch for over a year now and it does help as an additional support for the pain relief. Furthermore, some antidepressants do help for my FM.

patch for FM pain?
Hi all. I just want to ask if you guys tried using the fentanyl patch for further pain relief? Heard a friend that some people with FM use it too.
