Hi, Everyone!
My name is Sherrill. I was diagnosed with FM in October 1995. I want to learn everything about this syndrome so that I can enjoy my life as much as
possible. The past few months have been the worst re: pain, fibrofog, water retention, etc., etc., etc.
I have a wonderful husband John who is very supportive and helpful. We have three children and six grandchildren. I am 64 1/2 years old. I was born in
California, met my husband(who was born in North Carolina) in Newfoundland, and we live in Aurora, Colorado.
I appreciate all the work that has gone into this forum...I hope that someday I can help someone as well... : )

Hello, NC native!

Post  Tammy Elaine on Fri Apr 24, 2009 11:28 am

I am glad you found us! I am going home to NC this coming week due to my health declining from FM to the point where I can no longer take care of myself...I know, how embarrassing, right? Never thought it would come to this. But anyway, I am glad you are here. Please feel free to jump in and make yourself at home. I haven't been able to do a newsletter due to the move recently but as soon as I am settled in NC, I plan to update both the website and the forum and get a newsletter out.

I hope enjoy the forum and thanks for joining. Hang in there! Very Happy

Hi

Post  sunnypb on Thu Jul 02, 2009 12:17 pm

Hi Sherrell and Tammie,

I lived in Aurora when I was a kid and loved it. I now live in North Carolina. I have a friend who worked for Reynolds Tobacco for years. At one point she was ready to have her husband put her in a nursing home. She found a wonderful doctor in New Mexico through a doctor visit at the Mayo Clinic. I had phone appointments with her after getting lots of tests run (naturally my insurance didn't cover any of it). I now know it was worth it. Jacob Tietlbaum (I am not sure if I spelled his name right) also is fantastic about this disease. I heard him speak here at Forysth Women's Center. It's just a shame we still have way to many doctors that don't think Fibromyalgia is real or that we have Lymes Disease here in North Carolina. I just wrote to let you know that it's not hopeless. My little sister's new sister in-law is going through a lot of the same things right now too. Take care.
